The Valparaiso Community

When you are welcomed into Pines Village Retirement Communities, you'll also be welcomed into the Valparaiso community.  Valparaiso is a great place to call home.  In its more than 150 years, Valparaiso has cultivated passionate, traditional values.  Friendliness is never out of season. The Indiana Chamber of Commerce named Valparaiso the 2009 Community of the Year

Today, Valparaiso is an energetic city of over 31,000 and growing - a sought after destination for adults of all ages. You'll discover excellent shops, restaurants, culture, and fun. The Valparaiso Parks and Recreation Department offers 19 different park lands and provides year-round programs. Valparaiso is known for its popular Popcorn Festival and Valparaiso University.  Lake Michigan and the Indiana Dunes State Park are a short drive from the city.  Valparaiso's central location near magnificent Chicago, close to the State of Michigan and in the heart of the Midwest near major highways (I-80, I-94, I-90, I-65, US 30), is ideal for our active residents, and especially convenient for families who like to visit.

Valparaiso is a city where people are involved - and Pines Village is a prime example. We belong to the Greater Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce, and staff members sit on local boards, and participate in clubs and organizations.
