To commence the series, the Rusty Strings Orchestra will be holding a Spring Concert on Saturday, February 29, at 2 pm in the Youth Center at Valparaiso Nazarene Church 2702 Glendale Avenue.

The community is welcome to attend this free orchestra concert. Rusty Strings Orchestra, conducted by renowned regional cellist, Tom Schnabel, and comprised of players ranging in ages from 20 to 70+, will lift your spirits in an hour-long concert full of classical and folk tunes. Doors will open at 1:30 pm with light refreshments served before the performance. Learn about new technology that analyzes individuals’ genetic codes that can positively affect your medical treatment. This event will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Campbell St. Cafe, 4245 Meridian Woods Drive in Valparaiso.

Phil Caplis of Great Lakes Labs will be sharing information about an exciting, innovative test available called Pharmacogentics, or PGx. The PGx test analyzes how genes (DNA) affect an individual’s response to drugs. With this personalized information, PGx aims to transform a piece of the pharmacy industry, fostering safer, more effective use of prescription medications.
